3 Years Of Tru Love

Today is the 3rd anniversary of Tru's adoption!

Yesterday was Tru's "Gotcha Day". That was the first time we met this little guy.

And this is our Big Boy today!

Today we celebrated with a haircut, some Chinese noodles and a ride on the carousel.

Happy,
Happy Boy!

Happy, Happy Family!

"Can We Swing Now?"

Dallas has been hard at work on the kids' new swing set. It is still a work in progress. With the extreme heat we have had lately it has been a real challenge but the kids have been "helping" Dallas the whole way so far.
Now that the swings are up all we hear is, "Can we go outside and swing?"

Now if only the mosquitoes would cooperate! The kids are constantly bitten no matter what we spray on them or around the yard. The mosquitoes do not seem to bother Dallas or myself - just the kids. Is it our skin color that makes the difference? From what I have heard, and recently read in a book, mosquitoes do like Asian skin.
Lin-Ley's theory still holds true:

Quote Of The Day
by Lin-Ley
(This is Lin-Ley's theory on why the mosquitoes only bite Tru and her and not Dallas or myself.)
"The mosquitoes like peanut butter better than vanilla."
